The OU RUF/NEKS
The Oklahoma RUF/NEKS have been supporting Sooner Athletics for the past 85 years. Founded in 1915 at a basketball game,the RUF/NEKS are the nation's oldest spirit organization of its kind. Since the introduction of the Sooner Schooner in 1965, the RUF/NEKS have been its caretakers while the Schooner is in Norman, driving through campus before games and on the field after every Sooner point. The RUF/NEKS take great pride in supporting Sooner Athletics, as well as beiing a part of the history of the University of Oklahoma.
