Earle W. Forshner Memorial Regatta 2009

A perfect setting for any regatta is a sunny day, challenging wind conditions and great camaraderie after the racing ends for the day.
Well, we had it in spades! Saturday's race was held in a light, fluky breeze, while Sunday's race was in winds of 15 to 18 knots!
Under difficult conditions, (namely Sunday...) Joe and Wendy Stonehouse aboard "Baby Bird" performed yeoman duties as the Committee Boat and for that we thank them very much! Line honours for both days went to "Prospector".

Prospector and Nut Case are Club Co-champions for 2009, each winning one race in the series and finishing second in another.

The culmination of any successful regatta certainly is the social aspect afterwards. To this end we were fortunate to have Lorie Dickie and Linda Todd who organized the "eats" following the racing and for that we say a heartfelt (and stomach-felt) Thank You!
