POEMS

The Shadows of our life

On and on, on and on

We travel down this road

Many years we live this life

From youth until we’re old

Times of love, they fill some hearts

Many know the ways of peace

Yet some of us seem quite forgotten

Not the greatest, but the least

Not the glory, were they stand

It is a heavy place

Were peace and love do rarely go

Just tears upon a face

This tension is the darkness

Which pervades our soul with strife

It eats away our happiness

In the shadows of our life

Seemingly forsaken

Some hearts they pay a toll

Full of life’s miseries

And burdens of the soul

Life on the edge, it seems to me

Is how it’s often spent

The dark ones from the underworld

Would tear our souls a’rent

Yet what I know, as he doth teach

Through all this pain in me

God himself he promised us

The gift eternity

A purpose suffering it does serve

A point to all this strife

Eternal life he’s granted us

Through the shadows of our life

Stuck

Stuck

Trying to be someone I’m not

Jealous of those at the top

Wishing that I had a lot

Stuck – Stuck in this life

Fear

Is that what is holding me down

Denying me life’s greatest crown

Keeping me stuck in this town

Fear – Holding me down

Fame

Something that all of us desire

To set this world on fire

To build our own empire

Fame – We all want to get higher

Yet

Love

In patience what I need comes to be

As the love of God is towards me

In the prison of life I’ll be free

Love – the gift we all need

POEMS

My Heart it is for You

Many times I’ve opened up

To be broken down

Crushed by love forsaken

Left me foolish as a clown

I tried that foolish game called love

Was struck by Cupid’s bow

Gave my heart, my soul, my mind

Risked all for love alone

But life, no it’s not always fair

Not all find their true mate

And years pass by, you give a sigh

And say ‘Well ain’t this great’

But I’ll not give up, I’ll keep the faith

I’ll persevere for now

Perhaps one day, she’ll come along

Perhaps someday, somehow

If you are there, my one true love

These words I say are true

I’ll wait until the end of days

My heart it is for you

The Next Day

Waking from the dreams, reality sinks in
Rising from his bed, he contemplates his sin
The lass is still asleep, he thinks about his life
And what he did last night, with someone not his wife

He looks towards the mirror, shame makes him turn away
He's not the man he thought he was, his heart's led him astray
He loves his wife so much, she's kind and sweet and dear
To tell her this would break her heart, draw more than just a tear

He steps into the shower, and turns the water on
He'll keep this to himself then, no point in letting on
Their marriage means too much to him, those vows he took he meant
He'll let this thing blow over, keep it just an incident

He dresses not to wake her, and leaves the hotel room
He thinks about the future, but in his heart it's gloom
The trust his wife has given him, does that mean anything now
Can he keep this thing a secret, he's not sure if he knows how

He pulls up in the driveway, the porch light's been left on
His dearest thinks of everything, to lie he'll need to be strong
The word's he's chosen carefully, yet when he looks into her eyes
He starts to speak the truth to her, he'll tell his wife no lies

A Song of Love

Love.  Eternal love.

Gentle and vibrant, a pleasant contradiction.

Love, be my friend.

Be in my heart with your benediction.

Fire of God, Soother of souls,

Joyous, loving master

Be with us – all of us

For now and ever after

Love.  Perfect love.

A flame which lights our realm.

Love, be our lord.

Be the truth which is our helm.

This song of love, I sing to you,

My brothers, sisters, dear.

Let love be what doth guideth you,

From day to month to year.’

The Fiercest Fire

The Fiercest Fire

Of Love’s Desire

Compelling me

To never tire

In chasing cupid’s elusive aim

For an arrow pierced in fairest dame

The Fiercest Fire

Of Passions Lyre

Making music

With purest Choir

To find Cupid’s slain foe

Her love to be for me alone

The Fiercest Fire

Of Lust so Dire

Compelling me

Higher and higher

To Heaven’s home for Angel Pure

My lust-filled flesh needs Angel’s cure

She loves me true

She loves me much

With pure caress

With gentle touch

This Angel of Mercy

Conquers lusts’ great hold

And gives me love

As pure as Gold

Broken Heart
Written for and dedicated to Keri Noble

She looks at him, her courage gone
And in her heart she's broken
That Song of Love, she sang for him
The Song her heart had spoken

A Song of love, of life and truth
A Song so pure in love
With such a song, she sang to him
From heart of gentle dove

Yet now he loves another one
Another lady in his life
And her heart it now pays the toll
For this lady he's asked for his wife

That Song of love, she sang to him
Are now most bitter words indeed
For she'll not have child, now, to this man
Nay she will never bear his seed

A Broken Heart
A Broken Heart
Can it ever mend?
With lovers lost
It pays the cost
Of loneliness till the end

A Broken Heart
A Broken Heart
Shall it love again?
With fearless love
As pure as dove
With such love it will mend

The years go by, she grows in age
And friends they find their mate
Bitterness, sometimes, it creeps right in
And turns her love to hate

Yet she relents, of Satan’s vice
And her heart it hopes once more
Perhaps he will soon come along
And knock right on her door

And finally, when heart had healed
Of broken love from youth
She peers into her heart and finds
An Unrelenting truth

'I Will love me' - that is true
My faith will keep me strong
And in my love, Forever true
My heart sings this new song

A Broken heart
It is now new
With love and hope forever
And in that heart
No longer hate,
Nor fear, nor pride, no never

A Broken heart
It now has healed
And love has come a knocking
The time is soon
When in my arms
A new life I'll by rocking

Dangerous Hearts

I follow the rules

The sisters of mercy

Just what’s the fuss

About all those boys

With Dangerous love

Those boys next door

From Sacred Heart

I’ll gather my girlfriends

And skip the next class

To see those dangerous boys

With Dangerous Hearts

Fearless

Subject:  Singer Keri Noble

The Stars, the stars

To be a star

With fearless heart

To be a star

Fearless

She’ll need to be

For fame n fortune

Hers to be

From deep within

The soul’s deep truths

She brings them forth

These songs from youth

Until these days

Her wisdom grown

Experience

Is what she owns

Lovers true

Lovers lost

Fearless heart

Brought such a cost

She works so hard

To please her man

With words so true

He’ll understand

Some lovers stay

Some lovers go

She needs a heart

To call a home

Yet fearless heart

Emotions true

Too much for some

That seemeth true

She’ll shine

She’ll shine

Someday

She’ll shine

For all of time

I’d say she’ll shine

Dancing with the Devil’s Daughter

Chorus

Dancing with the Devil’s Daughter

Must be out of my mind

To be Dancing with the Devil’s Daughter

Lord help me, but, the lass, is just my kind

Just my kind

Verse One

I was fool

Didn’t see it coming

Should of looked the other way

Young Kelly

Full of fire and passion

She’d turn you straight if you were gay

Verse Two

Child of Darkness

Raven hair, dressed in scarlet

Hotter than the fires of Hell

A love so viscious

She’d kill you with her looks

And steal your heart forever as well

Bridge

I never saw it coming

I never saw it coming

And now, dear lord, help me, cause I’m

Chorus

Dancing with the Devil’s Daughter

Must be out of my mind

To be Dancing with the Devil’s Daughter

Lord help me, but, the lass, is just my kind

Just my kind

Verse Three

Down to Hades

Into the underworld

My lust for her dragged me down

Her viscious love

Draped on my heart and soul

She gave me Hell’s brightest crown

Verse Four

And now I

Once innocent and so sweet

A gentle little lamb of Christ

Fallen for

The devil’s daughter, oh so sweet

Is this my new paradise?

Bridge

I never saw it coming

I never saw it coming

And now, dear lord, help me, cause I’m

Chorus

Dancing with the Devil’s Daughter

Must be out of my mind

To be Dancing with the Devil’s Daughter

Lord help me, but, the lass, is just my kind

Just my kind

Cats

The cat's a creature of ill-content
For many days by them are spent
On scritch and scratch
On foe or mat
Or God forbid, the curtain rent

Let loose into the neighbourhood
A new cat strolls into the brood
It's fight or flee
In this hierarchy
No place is free, that's understood

They sleep at night, they sleep in day
And when they don't it's prowl or play
Throughout the house
In search of a mouse
Or footie sock that's gone astray

Yet when all is truly said and done
As proud cat owners say as one
Our little puss
Is such a fuss
But all in all, a ball of fun
