Here you will find information about how to conduct your own safe ghost hunting experiences. In this section we compiled from numerous sources, ghost hunting material brought to you. What You Will Need

  • A Camera - Just A camera nothing Hi-tech, but at least with a 400 speed film. 800 speed film seems to produce the best results outside and also in black and white.

  • Flashlight with good batteries - Do you really want to be with out light? Heck No. Bring extra batteries also, just in case the other ones die.

  • First-Aid Kit - If you are able to access one. Bring it just in case an emergency does occur.

  • Note books, with pencils and/or pens To write down your investigation notes and other things you may come across. Also bring an emf to right down your readings. Good readings with good pictures presents beautiful evidence of ghostly activity.

  • Jackets, blankets and other needed clothing - You don't want to be stuck out in the cold with the wrong kind of clothing. Spare blanket in trunk just in case your car breaks down.

  • Watch - To log the time of your entries.

    Advanced Equipment/Optional

  • Digital Audio Recorder Small yet easy to carry. Record any sounds you hear, write the notes and times for more accurate data.

  • EMF Detector - This object reads electromagnetic fields in areas. Common theories say ghosts are known to disrupt fields enough to make the meter read higher, to let a person know something is present. Keep in mind, where locations of power lines, electrical lines, major appliances and also electronics are located before you begin. It can cause a false reading. Price ranges vary.

  • Cell Phone - Very handy, if an emergency happens you always have a phone.

  • Candles and Matches - Sometimes your batteries on your flashlight goes out. Spare pair of these helps you stay out of the dark.

  • 2-Way Radios/Walkie Talkies Very useful with large groups of people, scattered in different areas. Keep in touch.

  • Video Camera - Record data with this great tool. Some cameras such as the Sony line of products have infrared night shot features. Lets you see the what the human eye can't.

  • Motion Detectors - You can get battery powered M.D for about 20 dollars at retail stores. Make sure nothing small is going to set these babies off. Good for inside and outside use.

    Places To Investigate

    Battelfields - Places of battles remain known ghost spots because of their undying spirits.


    Cemeteries - Wonderful place to catch spirits in action. Doesn't matter how new or old it is, but it does help when years have past for more spirits to combine.


    Churches - Long history of faithful church goers returning to the churches they worshipped at. Perhaps its they were promised salvation and never got it.


    Historic Locations - They prove to be homes to known ghost spirits, simply because of their importance to a certain individual. Some spots may be open to public viewing after the site has closed down, with permission upon entrance.


    Boarding houses, Hotels/Motels - Many things are known to happen at places of importance, when people have passed.


    Schools - Oddly enough some schools have been placed upon burial grounds. Places where kids are known to pass at school is a good starting point, with permission.


    Theaters - When building places of structures people have passed while working in them. Alot of theaters are known haunts.
