Nada Surf Firecracker The Proximity Effect Standard Tuning Well Matthews explaining..... so i can't be bothered to explain, from the hourses mouth, so to speak and all that; i was just going to try and figure it out for you, but i only have a spanish guitar lying around the house right now, and it doesn't go high enough. but.... i think you put your middle finger on the 19th fret of the G string, and play both the D and the G strings, while once in a while doing a quick hammer-on and pull-off on the b string, with your index finger on the 16th fret, and your ring finger hammering onto and pulling off of the 20th, i think. the rest of the song is just basic major and minor barre chords. Dm, Amajor, Bbmajor, Gmajor, Fmajor, stuff like that. the little melodic figure during the quiet "firecracker" chorus is middle finger on the 6th fret of the G string, ring finger on the 7th fret of the D string, then simply move down to the ring finger on the 5th fret of the G, and leave your ring finger where it was. let me know if that helps cheers matthew
