Then there's El Fango Del Magnifico. He is Oscar's brother, from the same litter. He weighs about 100 lbs, and likes to sprawl sideways at the foot of the bed at night. His deep bark has been registered as a lethal weapon and has already destroyed 30% of my hearing. His favourite toy is a latex squeak toy, which he always manages to lose outside in the back yard... without fail. He is a middle-ranking dog and enjoys lording it over the new guy.

And finally, we come to Waheya (means "wolf spirit" in Ojibwa). He was rescued from an abusive and neglectful home by our local humane society, and was subsequently adopted by me. Well, ok, it went more like this.... the second we laid eyes on each other, we both fell hopelessly in love. He is estimated to be an approximately two-year old Husky/GSD/Lab mix. He weighs about 55-60 lbs. He has lovely blue eyes and a whitish coat. He follows me everywhere. He has also been neutered and we're all very happy about it (especially Oscar and Fang). He would like to have Fang's spot in the hierarchy, but Fang's not backing down. They're constantly going at it like, well, cats and dogs! For revenge, Fang gets to clean out Waheya's ears.... incessantly.

Here is the best dog ever: Ernie- chihuahua

I would like to submit my baby, Lily, for the Dog of the Month contest. She is a Maltese and was about 7 months in this picture and will be 2 years old next month. She is the light of my life!

This is our beautiful, 8 year old spotted girl, Jackie. She's the dog who is responsible for my love of Dalmatians. Jackie's been a member of our family since the autumn of 1995, after Brandy, our pet of nearly 13 years, made that final trip across Rainbow Bridge. We weren't planning on getting another dog immediately after Brandy's passing, but we couldn't resist Jackie girl. The person who had Jackie before us was planning on 'doing away' with her . . . all because she killed some chickens this fellow was raising. What did he expect? He kept Jackie in the area WITH the chickens! Fortunately, we learned of Jackie's situation and brought her home before anything bad happened to her. We're very happy to have her with us. Jackie's put many smiles on my face with the way she thumps her tail and rolls over for those frequent belly rubs. I hope that everyone has a dog that gives them as much joy and relaxation as Jackie has given to those who've met her.
