Jonathan Davis was born on January 18th, 1971 in Bakersfield, California. He has a wife, Renee Davis, and a son, Nathan Houseman Davis. Jon's First Job was as a coroners assistant, in Kern county. He got this job at 16. He graduated from the San Francisco School of Mortuary Science. Jon Davis often saw victems of suicide, car accidents, and sexual abuse. Much too often, the victems were people he knew, and had recently talked to. He suffered post-traumatic stress disorder and still has nightmares cause by what he had seen here. The song "Pretty" (Follow The Leader) is about a child incest victim. Jon Davis loved two bands as a kid. Motley Crüe and Duran Duran. He began wearing makeup out of idolization of these rockstars. Being from a homophobic smalltown (Bakersfield CA) other students began calling him "queer" and faget. He got a tattoo on his arm saying "HIV" this was a "*censored* you" to all the the people who teased him. He is neither homosexual or HIV positive. Two songs came from this trama, being "Faget" (Korn) and Reclaim My Place.(Follow The Leader) Faget explains the pain of his High School teasings. Reclaim My Place explains how he thought being a rock star would change how people treated him. However, it did'nt. He claims that even his band mates even call hima fag. This explains the lyrics "Never thought the band, would pick on the man" from "Reclaim My Place." His wife Renee had the idea of having their marriage in a medevil setting. So everyone wore armor, of princess gowns. There were little sprites and fairys hopping around, according to Davis. He and most of the other members of KoRn went to Highland High. Jonathan's nickname is "HIV" because in high school, kids called him a fag and a queer because he listened to Duran Duran and wore eyeliner and nail polish. The song "Faget" on Korn is a fuck you to the people who called him a fag, and made his life miserable. He has an HIV tatoo on his arm, which is also to say fuck you to those people. On his other arm, he has a tatoo of a crazed bishop ripping up his skin. As he puts it, "The bishop is a symbol of the atrocities that religion is making. He's ripping up my skin to reveal Christ. It's more of a symbol of how corrupt religion is. I don't believe in any of it because of televangilism. Do you really think all that money goes to charity?"
