Skip is the closest male friend I ever had. He could talk about anything,
no matter how humdrum and at a moments notice could turn that
conversation into the most prodigious work of art. He had an uncommon
ability to relate to all kinds of diverse people and build a connecting
bridge. I enjoyed him immensely and never got bored in his presence. There
will never be another Skip and I would not be who I am without him. There
is a piece of Skip inside of me and I thought of him during lunch when
I
remembered that he taught me to put chips and pickles inside of my
bologna sandwiches because it was a tasteworthy experience. Talking
with
Skip was better than going to any movie or amusement park and he made
a
bologna sandwich a gourmet meal. Skip influenced my life and impacted
me
toward God and we went on our spiritual journey together. I have
thousands of good and joyful memories of him and will never run out
of
stories to tell about him. Heaven will be more fun with Skip. Love
and
goodbye for now.
