Vinnie Moore's return to Shrapnel Records is a stunning instrumental barrage that is rooted deeply in his progressive neo-classical style that generated a legion of loyal fans. Vinnie also displays a new found maturity in his song writing that is manifested in the diverse and exotic musical influences exhibited throught this release. Joined by former MSG drummer Shane Gaalaas, bassist Dave LaRue (The Dregs) and renowned master musician Tony MacAlpine on keyboards. The Maze is the Vinnie Moore album guitar fans have been eagerly anticipating.

Vinnie Moore began playing at the age of 12. After years of circuit playing, he first caught national attention via Guitar Player's "Spotlight" column written by Shrapnel Records guru Mike Varney which led to a Pepsi TV commercial. Mind's Eye, Vinnie's debut for Shrapnel was released in 1987. Receiving "BEST NEW TALENT" honors in Guitar Player, Guitar, and later in Guitar World, the album sold over 100,000 copies. Moore's second effort Time Odyssey reaffirmed his reputation as both contender and innovator. It also reached sales of six figures, his third release Meltdown proved to be his tour de force, garnering overwhelming support from both AOR and Hard Rock radio.

As a performer, Vinnie Moore's resume is also impressive. As a member of Alice Cooper's band, he toured the US on the Operation Rock'N'Roll Tour and also performed on the Alice Cooper album Hey Stoopid. His own band later secured the Northeast leg of Rush's Roll The Bones Tour. Vinnie followed up the Rush tour with a headlining tour of the U.S followed by a clinic tour of Japan, Scandanavia, Italy, Poland, Mexico, Canada, New Zealand, England, Germany and Australia. His last tour of Japan was with T.M. Stevens, Bernie Worell and Wil Cahoun.

Dedicated to teaching, Vinnie Moore has conducted more than 200 guitar clinics around the world and has released two instructional videos that have been best sellers for HotLicks®.
