The Perpetrator's Reality

His thought process:

1.  "I didn't do anything wrong.

2.   If I did, I won't get caught.

3.   If I get caught, I can talk my way out of it.

4.   If I can't talk my way out of it, the consequences will be light."

His agenda is to get you, the listener, into his reality.  He will attempt to do so through an effective facade.

He will minimize

           deny

           distort

           blame the victim.

He will begin the story where it suits his purpose.

He will tell you enough of the truth to be believable.

He will lie more convincingly than his victims tell the truth.
