“Belle Dress” also released as ”Campus Belle” is a new pattern from Mini-Fashion Boutique, designed to fit vintage Barbie and other 11-1/2" fashion dolls. The original Belle Dress was released in 1962 in pale pink, pale blue and orange polished cotton. In 1964 this identical design was released in deep rose or deep blue silk shantung. My two samples feature silk shantung fabrics in nearly identical colors as the 1964 dresses.

This vintage design is elegance in its simplicity. However, construction details reflect more complexity than is visible on the surface. With this pattern from Mini-Fashion Boutique, you can replicate the V-neck sleeveless dress with tucked/pleat front (no darts) and a series of tucks and pleats in the skirt. The dress is accented with a bow the center front waist.

The pattern you will receive is shown below and includes the envelope with color photo, an step-by-step instruction booklet with a sketch of the fashion and illustrations where needed. The pattern pieces are carefully drafted by hand, printed on two pages of white paper, one 8˝" x 11" and one 8˝” x 14”.
