Hello there, I`m Leo. My people rescued me from a shelter in Duderstadt, Germany. I now live
in a very comfortable apartment with lots of love from 2 big people, 1 little person, and I
hear that another little person is on its way. I wanted to make a website about my fellow furry,
feathered, or scaled creatures in order to educate people about proper care of animals and animal
welfare. The most important thing that you should always do is SPAY OR NEUTER YOUR PETS!! Since
I am not an expert on animal care (although I could tell you what I like!), I will refer you to some
of my favorite websites that will tell you all you need to know. I want to remind you to
please adopt animals from shelters. This includes rabbits, ferrets, and other small animals and farm animals. If
you ask at your local shelter, they will probably be able to tell you where you can find shelters for
animals other than dogs or cats. You can also find resources on this website under the Animal Welfare page.
As you can see from my picture, I am a very handsome guy, and there are
many more like me just waiting to find a home! Luckily, in Germany most shelters are no-kill, how ever my
female human is American and she tells me that most of my American cousins are not so lucky. This makes me
very sad! :-( Remember that when you buy an animal from a pet store, that is one more animal that will be
put to sleep at a shelter, and it keeps puppy mills and catteries in business! (See more about puppy mills on the animal welfare page.)
