between Chibi and SD?

Chibi is usually cuter than SD. Even though both styles are somewhat similar, there's a distinct difference between them. SD involves things like facefaulting, tics appearing on the forehead, or huge goggle-eyes. Chibi would refer to a cuter style, like huge eyes (not goggled), fangs, and perhaps cat-ears.

between shonen-ai and yaoi?

Shonen-ai fics shy away from description of sexual acts, but a yaoi story would involve description.
