Deciding the titles for the fanfic.

(names in inverted commas refer to our anonymous friends.)
plhu: Dear friends, we need your help for deciding a title for our fanfiction.
raydance: Remember that one with StreetFighter versus Hokage?
friends: Ah.
plhu: So, any ideas?
"Fuuko": How about "Blizzard versus Lizard"?
raydance & plhu: "Blizzard and Lizard ?!!
"Fuuko": No no no! "Blizzard VERSUS Lizard"!
raydance: What the...
plhu: We don't know her...
raydance and plhu turn away and start admiring the whiteboard
Version 1.2
One sunny afternoon, raydance picks up the phone to call plhu.
raydance: Hello. (screams) What are we going to call our fic??!!
plhu : (rudely interrupted in the process of reading the newspapers): uhm...let's look at today's headlines. "Melt old handphones for new ones?"
raydance: No.
plhu: "From gentle to mental?"
raydance: I don't think so.
plhu: How about the sports section then..."Ref in Jitters!"
raydance: No.
plhu: "Turkey to the Slaughter"?
raydance: Give it up, okay?
plhu: "Cheers to More Goodies"? "Now We Have a New Firecracker"? "Honey, There's a Plane in Our Backyard?"
raydance: (near explosion) I thought I told you to stop 4 headlines back?
plhu: ...
raydance: Let's just sleep on this, okay?
(By the way, all those headlines really did exist.)
A few days later, raydance and plhu reread Chapter 3 and decide to use "For the Spirit of the Fight". That's right; the first time this phrase was used (i.e. in Chapter Three) was under innocent conditions. The others were added in after the title had been decided. This shows that in order to do something great, one must go back to one's roots.
Version 2.1
Stage 3: Titles for Individual Chapters
Some days later, in school
plhu: Do you want titles for each chapter too?
raydance: The ones in the anime are the really sensational sort.
plhu: yah man; there were so many exclamation marks. Something like "Seduction by a Beauty! Fight to the Death !!!!!!"
raydance: Really?!
plhu: That's what the kanji and subtitles said.
raydance: Let's not do that, okay?
plhu: one word sort? Like calling chapter 1 "Beginning".
raydance: Right... Then we can call the last chapter "Ending".
plhu: then chapter 2 can be "After Beginning" and chapter 3 can be "After After Beginning"...the second last chapter can be "Before Ending" and the 3rd last chapter can be "Before Before Ending"
raydance: *exhaling small puff of air* Good grief. Then chapter 5 can be what, "Middle"?
plhu: Then we can have "Before Middle" and "After Middle"--
raydance whips out Ensui and freezes plhu.
raydance: There. *smirks and keeps Ensui.*
Fortunately, the local climate is very warm, so plhu has thawed by then.
raydance: One word, as in "Aftermath", "Desperation" etc. *bonks plhu on the head*
plhu: *rubbing head* I have been enlightened. Sense has been knocked into my head.
raydance: So Chapter One would be "Invitation".
plhu: And Chapter Two would be "Arrival".
raydance: Since Chapter Three describes how tired everyone is, let's call it "Weariness".
plhu: Okay. And for Chapter Four involving the two musclemen, how about calling it "Meat"?
raydance: "MEAT"???
plhu: Hey, it's funny. And if you can think of anything better...
raydance: ...Chapter Five!!
plhu: "Metal Claw"?
raydance: That's your territory anyway. *writes it down* Chapter Six! Fuuko's Fight!
"Fuuko": "Colours of the Wind"!!
"Domon": "Gone with the Wind"!!
raydance: But Fuuko lost.
"Kagerou": What! How can Fuuko lose!! *murderous glint*
plhu: Okay okay...how about "Wind Beneath So-and-so's Wings"?
raydance: Hey, what happened to our originality? How about "Wind-swept Arrow"?
plhu: "Drill Through the Wind"?
raydance: Cammy's Cannon Drill and Fuuko...I like that.
plhu: I was joking and you actually took me seriously...and when I'm serious, no one believes me...*sighs*
Instead of "Wind Mill", how about "Wind Drill"?
raydance: *icy stare. reaches into pocket for Ensui.*
plhu: *backs down*
raydance: Chapter Seven. "Bad Memories". Any objections?
plhu: No ma'am.
raydance: Now for Chapter Eight. Recca's fight.
plhu: This is really obvious.
raydance: Yeah.
plhu & raydance: "Victory".
plhu: Chapter Nine. That's the last one, right?
raydance: Yesh.
plhu & "Domon": "Be Seeing You!"
raydance: This isn't ReBoot here. But something along the lines of "Bye!" would be good.
raydance and plhu: " 'See you next year' "?
Shocked silence.
raydance: Those one-hour phone calls are really working...
plhu: Yeah...okay so what's for the Epilogue?
"Domon": "So Long and Thanks For All the Fish"!
plhu: Let's!
raydance: Not "fish". Something else.
3 minutes of useless suggestions. plhu and raydance decide to sleep on it.
plhu: How about our prologue?
raydance: If you still want that cauldron and witches' brew idea, forget it.
plhu: Then how?
raydance: Sleep on it lah!
plhu: We sure have a lot of sleeping to do...
