"Bless the LORD, Oh my soul, and forget not his benefits: who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with loving kindness and tender mercies; who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's. The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed. He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel. The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and plentious in mercy." (Psalm 103:2-8 KJV).

This Psalm is one of the best descriptions of the character of God in the whole Bible. Every human being, no matter his religion or creed, has some picture of who God is. For some of us that picture is greatly distorted and just plain wrong. Some believe that God is some cosmic force residing in every human and in all nature. Others believe that God is some supreme version of human arrogance who operates on feelings and whim. Still others, many Christians sadly, see God as some exacting school-master ready to hand down judgment and damnation at the sign of any wrongdoing. The embodiment of the character of God is found in his son, Jesus the Christ. "Jesus saith unto him (Philip) Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? He that hath seen me have seen the Father, and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father." (John 14:9 KJV) .

You, who have visited my website, I invite you today to know my lord and savior, Jesus. He indeed is Life's Greatest Treasure . He is the Bread of Life, the Gate, the River of Life, the Living Word, the Lamb of God whose sacrifice on the cross has given me atonement for my sins. He is the First Fruits of the Resurrection, a proof that his sacrifice on the cross was received by God the Father. Best of all he defeated death and is alive today. He is also the High Priest of the order of Melchizedek who makes intercession for the saints of God.

I can only say that in the thirty-four years since I accepted Christ into my life, I have always found a friend in Him. Through His spirit, he teaches the Bible. He convicts me of sin. In the dark moments of the night when I have gone through rough times, I have felt and known His presence. He has healed me physically and has guided my life. When life looks its worst, He has given me peace and joy. What He has done for me, He can and will do for anyone who receives Him wholeheartedly into his or her life. Being a Christian doesn't mean you will never have problems-- that you will never have questions, doubts, or even depression sometimes. But having Christ does mean that you will never have to go through these times alone and with no help.

For the Christian has the promise that "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28 KJV). And if you already are a Christian, I praise God that you know the Savior and encourage you that no matter how bad things look in the world today to remember that Jesus is still Lord, and that He will be coming soon to set up his kingdom. Be faithful in prayer and in the reading of the Word. Try to see others as Christ sees them and try to meet their needs in Jesus's name. Be faithful in the small things as Christ has bidden us, and forgive freely those who wrong you. I myself have to be reminded of these things also, but I just put them on this page to encourage you in your Christian walk.. I encourage Christian and non-Christian alike to visit some of the links on this page. Some are informative sites, some are highly inspirational, and some are there for fun. To everyone who visits this page, I say to you:

"The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: the LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: the LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace." (Numbers 6:24 KJV).
