BILLIE JOE ARMSTRONG

(lead vocals, guitar)
born on february 17, 1972, youngest of six children. his dad was a truck driver and a jazz drummer who died when billie was 10. his mother worked as a waitress at a barbeque restaurant. he wrote his first song, "why do you want him?" when he was 12. plays a blue fernandes strat copy that he got as a present from his mom when he was 11. he married adrienne nesser in july of 1994. they have two children. billie also plays guitar and sings in a side band called pinhead gunpowder.


MIKE DIRNT

(bass)
born on may 4 1972, to a heroin-addicted mother who put him up for adoption. his real name is/was michael pritchard. his adoptive parents divorced when he was seven. he later spent some time living in billie's house. mike married his girlfriend anastasia in august of 1996, and they had a daughter. they are now divorced but on good terms.


TRE COOL

(drums)
born frank edwin wright III in december of 1972. grew up in the mendocino mountains. when he was 12 he played drums for the lookouts and was a regular on gilman street. tre replaced john kiffmeyer as green day's drummer after john left the band in 1991. tre married lisea lyons and their daughter was born in 1995. "the cools" have since divorced.
