LORI REYNOLDS

Lori is a Multi Award winner with the Country Gospel Music Association See List at bottom for awards!

Where are you from now?  RC and I met in Las Cruces, NM.  After we were married in 1987, we moved to Arizona. We currently have a mailbox in Lubbock, TX...but we live in the bus, on the road!  I have alot of people ask me about that, they say, "how do you stand it?"  But I must be peculiar,  I like to tell people that I should have been born with wheels instead of FEET!

What do you do in Desert Reign? We are all "roadies" in Desert Reign... (we pack up and set up and haul all our own equipment) I play steel guitar, write songs, sing, do the multimedia & graphics, and I am also the treasurer & secretary.  Oh yes, school teacher too!  Breanna and Amber have been homeschooled since 1999.

How long have you been playing music?I've been playing steel guitar since I was 15 years old.

What Instruments do you play?  Pedal Steel Guitar, a little bit of dobro.

What is your favorite instrument and brand? STEEL GUITAR, of course! I play an Emmons, I do really like Zum guitars too.

Who are your influences in music? I have always loved Barbara MandrellConnie Smith, Reba, Shelby Lynn, and Bonnie Rait. I love the Eagles, and Lynard Skynard too, I guess there's alot of different types of music that I like! : )

What did you do before full time ministry?  I was serving God in our local church.  I counted it such a privilege to do that and I loved working with youth, women's ministries, sunday school, nursery, anywhere I could.  I remember missing all that one Sunday morning, and the preacher that morning was preaching about the body of Christ and how we are not all the same, but different parts.  I thought to myself and chuckled, "I wonder what part Desert Reign is, probably the elbow."  The Lord quickly answered me...I was not expecting and answer!  He said, " I have placed you in the circulation system, that's why I keep sending you out!"  I knew right then and there that I was right smack dab in the middle of God's will.  I am happy traveling, I am happy not having a home.  Heaven is my home.

How long have you been a minister?  I like to consider myself a minister of God's love.  Love is the bond of perfection, and God is love; the Bible says. How long?  That would be Dec of 1995, when God began to touch me with His love, I couldn't stop myself from sharing that love with everyone I met!

How long have you been saved?    When I was a little girl, I'd ride any church bus that came our way!  EVERY time I went to church, I would respond to the altar call and ask Jesus to come into my heart.  Just before my 21st birthday, I was not living for the Lord, but He was speaking to me in my heart, and He was asking me to give Him total control of my life.  I felt as though He was asking me to come into His heart.  I backslid several times, because I tried so hard to walk out Christianity in my own strength, and failed.  In 1995, I finally discovered how much I need Him to be the boss (Lord) of my life.  Peace and Joy are the byproducts of this wonderful relationship.

What do you think is the secret to a successful ministry?  Let the Lord be the Boss! I believe the definition of a successful life is Matthew 6:33 Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
