TO: Each Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary Member of New Mexico and their families:
I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincereheart felt thanks to the membership and delegates attending our 53rd annual State Convention and for placing your confidence in me and electing me as your State Commander.It is a most humbling experience to say the least to be elected and installed your State Commander for 2003-2004.I assure each of you that I will do my utmost to serve you and your Unit in an honest and dedicated manner.If there ever is anything that you would like to discuss with me or any of the line officers feel free to contact them or me with your issues. This is your Auxiliary and if you have any constructive recommendations please let us know we will consider any of your recommendations.I look forward to a most successful year for the State Auxiliary and each Unit.Our School of Instruction will be at the State Department Headquarters in Albuquerque on October 18, 2003 at 9:00 AM with a break for lunch, we have ask National Headquarters to send a National Representative to participate in our School of Instruction. Your attendance is strongly encouraged at this School of Instruction.
Membership is the lifeblood of our Auxiliary, I challenge each member to recruit and sign up a new member this year.We must strive for Peace and Harmony within the State Auxiliary and each Unit.I have planned to visit each Unit within the state of New Mexico, Billy F. Jones, Sr.; Department Commander, also plans to accompany me.
Next year the 54th Annual Convention will be held in Carlsbad, New Mexico on 10-12 June 2004. Alma Ellis of Unit 30 Carlsbad, NM will be the Chairperson, if you have any suggestions please contact her directly.
