Birds are my passion
Greetings from the Land of Enchantment- New Mexico. I live south of Albuquerque,NM. I started with pigeons when I was 7yrs. old and never got it out of my system. I had some feral birds that my aunt gave me for my birthday.I spent all my time in the loft with them. Then we moved to Wyoming. I got some fantails from a freind and I was hooked. I've got a real passion for birds, I've raised everything from canaries to love birds, quail to pheasant, bantams to turkeys. I've settled down now and gotten in deep with several breeds of poultry and pigeons. I was born(3/13/57) in Deadwood,SD., raised in the panhandle of Nebraska and eastern Wyoming. I was brought up on my great aunts'(Leona Dout) horse ranch and the Richard(Dick) Ladwig ranch in Wyoming, where I learned values and the meaning of a hard days work. I entered the service(army) in 1976, four yrs in El Paso(Ft.Bliss). I returned to Wyoming after the sevice. I moved to New Mexico in 1994. I've had a multitude number of jobs in all kinds of fields. Glazier, cook, orderly, mechanic, framer, ditch digger, iron worker, cow puncher, pig wrestler, chicken plucker, bus driver and truck driver to name just a few. Other interests include; archery, arrowhead hunting, bonsai trees, and gardening. I'm 43 now with background in construction,so I'm always adding on somewhere. I've just finished building myself a home,this pass Fall. All settled in now. I belong to the NPA, OEGBCA, and the National West of England Tumbler clubs. I hope to make it to the shows this year.
