I can't seem to get into the Hallowe'en spirit. Perhaps I'll write a little about some things I find frightening to get me in the mood.
*Once, I saw The Beast in my backyard. Not exactly IN my backyard, but on some county-owned land behind my backyard. I swear on absolutely everything that is sacred to me that what I saw was neither man nor animal, at least not as any of us knows it, and that the Beast walked slowly across the field in a long black cape and disappeared. I SWEAR this, and my brother will swear it too.
*Ronald Reagan was twice elected president of the United States. This frightens me a lot.
*My father's girlfriend scares me a lot. She seems to prove a lot of unsettling theories about the world going to hell.
*Aaron and I once visited an abandonned psychiatric hospital and found remnants of a Satanic ritual, including large bloody handprints on the walls...
*Cocaine scares me a little, but only because I've seen "Pulp Fiction" a few too many times.
*Last night I dreamed Aaron was trying to seduce Tipper Gore because she used the word "arouse" in a debate or conference or something (as in, "arouse suspicion") and he thought that was sexy, and kept trying to fuck her... I woke up shaking and very, very afraid...
Yes, I am now properly freaked.
Hallowe'en can begin now...
Don't fear the reaper...
