29 July 2001 ~ Meditation and sophistication...

Almost everything is moved to the new apartment, so naturally, I can't find anything.

Found my Garbage tape and a nice section of floor, though, and took advantage of both of these things for a short session of yoga stretches and Shirley Manson's voice. Oddly, Shirley Manson is not exactly conducive to meditation -- I never would have guessed THAT, since Garbage's music seems to work for just about everything else.

The apartment actually looks really, really cool now. There's a nice mellow ray of orange sunlight dripping through the western windows, illuminating some incense smoke in the living room. If a stranger walked in right now, they might mistake this for the residence of some really sophisticated people: the bookshelves, the quasi-obscure movie posters, the neat little collections of decorations, and of course, Norman's obscenely huge collection of all things jazz related...

Sophisticated? Heh.

Anyway, I had a whole entry to type up earlier, but I kind of forgot what I was going to write about, in the excitement of surfing the internet asking silly questions on messageboards about movies I haven't seen since I was six... So anyway, I'm going to sign off now and go rent a movie.

Peace,
~Helena*
