Just something to maybe lift you a little.....
The Buddha told us, "Human life is suffering". We all need to understand and recognize the meaning of this. The Buddha also said, "The human body is an illness, a carbuncle, and an ulcer, and this is what we all experience." We all experience the conditions of sickness and suffering. But all human and sentient beings cannot avoid illness and suffering. The only differences are less suffering, or more suffering, less sickness, or more sickness!
If we can reduce our suffering, then of course, we will feel much better. Please try not to compare yourselves with others, hoping for happiness without suffering, and health without sickness. This will only increase your unnecessary suffering. You must understand that all beings in this world are not able to avoid suffering. We always have some problems. The only way to solve these problems is by accepting them, and letting them go. This is the only way of going beyond life and death, and towards a state without suffering and illness!
Um... thanks?
Really, thanks to the person who put this in my guestbook, because I truly believe you only had the best of intentions, but here's the deal... my entry this morning was about being unable to "accept" and "let go." This doesn't mean I'll NEVER "accept" or "let go," it just means that, at present, I have days where I'm inexplicably bitter as hell.
Please let me keep that? For a little while?
If a person has a fever, it means that somewhere in her body, she's got a germ, or a bacteria, or some such thing. The fever is the body's response to the creepy-crawly: it's trying to get rid of the bad, bad germ. If you give the person aspirin to get rid of the fever, the germ lingers, might get worse, might get out of control, and sometimes the fever ends up coming back anyway, sometimes worse than before. Trust me; I was one of those ear-infection-twice-a-month children...
Plus, aspirin wrecks your stomach.
The moral of the story is this: PLEASE let this run its course? Please don't make me "better" before I AM better? Maybe it seems like you ought to hug the weird girl with the journal because she's throwing virtual rocks and cussing a lot, but I assure you that I would rather just throw rocks and cuss. I welcome you to throw rocks with me, or to just hang out, or ignore me, or whatever, but for the love of gahd, please do not try to make me feel better just yet.
Thank you, though. It was a noble try. Really.
...In other guestbook news, I have left a response there for the motherfucker who's been screwing with my friend Julie. You are all invited to read it, but I'd like to extend that invitation especially to the creepy person. I might remind the creepy person that I have a hell of a web-hits counter on my site, and that I regularly check it to see who's who. Let's just emphatically say that I have a pretty good idea of who's who, and YOU, creepy person, are NOT welcome here.
In related news, I've been learning ALL about text analysis, and proper attribution of questioned documents. *smile* Just warning you...
Oh yeah, and I'm still in kind of a shitty mood.
Have a great day.
