Glen Farmer

 

 

SEP. 5, 2001 Graveside services for Glen Farmer, 82, of 3301 S. Haldeman Rd., are scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, at the family farm cemetery. The Masonic Lodge will conduct services.

Farmer passed away Sept. 3 at his home. No visitation is scheduled.

He was born Sept. 17, 1918, in Yale, Okla., to Max Farmer and Clara Mae (Ramsey) Farmer. He married Maxine Bunting on April 21, 1946, in Artesia. He came to Artesia from Wink, Texas, in 1939. He was a farmer and owner/operator.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge, Shriners and was a survivor of the Bataan Death March as a veteran of the Army in World War II.

Survivors include: wife Maxine of the family home; three daughters, Linda Gayle Farmer of Chandler, Ariz., T. C. Farmer of Fountain Hills, Ariz., and Cindy Jo Farmer Lunsford of Scottsdale, Ariz.; two grandchildren, Stacy Ann Lunsford of San Francisco, Calif., and Andrea Kristen Lunsford of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and several nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two sisters.
