Ambrosio Madrid was born and raised in
Villanueva, New Mexico which is about 35 miles southwest of Las
Vegas, New Mexico. He was wounded by shrapnel and evacuated on
the last ship out of the Philippines — the Mactan. He passed
away in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1983.
