By authority of Chapter 115, Laws of 1945, an Act entitled “An Act to Provide Recognition to Certain Members of the 200th Coast Artillery”, it is hereby ordered that a Ceremony be held in the City of Santa Fe, New Mexico, on Saturday, December 7, 1946, for the purpose of presenting the New Mexico Bataan Medal to personnel assigned to the 200th Coast Artillery (AA) and on duty in the Philippine Islands on December 7, 1941, or to the next of kin of those individuals of that Regiment who now are deceased.

 

This medal is physical evidence of the love and esteem of the citizens of this State for the valiant men who, as members of the New Mexico National Guard, brought great honor to their State by their bravery, loyalty and devotion to duty.
