There are many ways to ask someone to repeat something that we aren't sure we
understood. Look at the following common ways native speakers ask for
repetition.

A lot of times, when you're the speaker, you want to make sure that the
person you're speaking with understands what you're saying. In English,
like other languages, there are many ways to be sure that what you're saying is
understood. In informal speech, we sometimes omit the words do, did, and
you.
