Creating Memorable Weddings
In the Beautiful and Historic Thousand Islands Region,
New York State

Beautiful Weddings By The Water . . .
Boldt and Singer castles, Tibbett's Point Lighthouse,
Sackets Harbor, plus any location of your choice:
homes, gardens, restaurants in the region

As the St. Lawrence flows from Lake Ontario on its way to the Atlantic, there is an historic and fascinating place of infinite beauty called the Thousand Islands. It's a place where the sun shines most days, the air is invigorating, and the scenery is breathtaking. The whole region in northern New York State, the St. Lawrence River, and Canada’s Ontario, is far more than fishing, boating or a summer party place. It’s a wonderful place in which to get married – castles, lighthouses, historic places, islands, romantic vistas -- it’s a place where beautiful memories are made to cherish, and we can help you with a special service.

A Spiritual Center for
Creating Your Special Day!

Welcome to Silver Birch. My name is Rev. Robert Egby and I have been an interfaith minister since 1996, and a spiritual meditation teacher, speaker and workshop presenter since 1980.

So you have found your Soul Mate and you've decided to get married. That's great! It's wonderful! Among the 1001 things you have to do is find a minister, a wedding officiant, a person who will listen and get to understand exactly what you desire in a ceremony. You've come to the right place.

Rapport is very important so I like to get to know the bride and groom in plenty of time before the wedding, listen to your ideas and plans, and then explain the different parts of the wedding and answer all the questions.

A small deposit reserves our services for your wedding. We have two sets of Services: One is the all-embracing Comprehensive service in which we work with the couple to make the service intimate and personal and reflect their spiritual and loving levels. The other is the Set Service, which is a pre-written service that does come with various options. Both are described below.

A LOCATION OF YOUR CHOICE

There are a number of options for you when it comes to places for your wedding. This part of New York State -- the Thousand Islands Region -- has an abundance of beautiful locations for your wedding service. We also conduct weddings in homes, gardens, restaurants and parks. When it comes to using public places, make sure you visit the scene and check for suitability, access, parking, plus cover in the event it may rain, etc. Some public places require you apply in advance for such use on your Special Day.

You are advised to read the official brochure Getting Married in New York State.

"THE SET SERVICE" -- AN ALTERNATIVE LOVING AND SPIRITUAL SERVICE

The Set Service is for couples who need a simple but spiritual and loving service . It's also for couples who would like a non-denominational but spiritual service that covers all the aspects in the customized service but for reasons of their own, don't wish to get involved in words and texts. The Set Service, written by Rev. Robert, is spiritual and loving and lasts about 20 minutes. It comes with three options: The Unity Sand Ceremony, The Hands Ceremony, and the "Exchange of a Rose" Ceremony. And like the Comprehensive Service, comes with a bound copy of the text made out in the names of the couple and the wedding location. The Fee for the Set Service is $200. Special discounts available for serving members of the Armed Forces.

We can also include a "Few Moments of Silence" to remember loved ones and relatives who cannot attend the service. This applies both to the Set Service and the Comprehensive Service at no extra charge.

PLEASE NOTE: A small deposit guarantees our services for the day, the time and the place. The balance is due on or before the wedding.

COMPREHENSIVE, ONE-OF-A-KIND SERVICE

We conduct a full consultation with the couple and provide a full folio of marriage service segments including vows and promises. We provide the couple with various texts for ring and consent ceremonies, incorporating children into the ceremony, texts for candle-lighting, wine, dove and butterfly release, breaking the glass, and parts for remembering loved-ones who have crossed into Spirit, and more. Because this is a creative endeavor, the couple may also write their own vows, have loved ones and friends make readings or special presentations during the service. Rev. Robert, a former journalist and now an author, works with the couple to achieve a memorable and unique service. The Fee for the Comprehensive Service is $300.

In addition to filing your marriage license with the Registrar who issued the license, we also provide the couple with a bound copy of the wedding text. This is a keepsake of your special day so that in the anniversaries to come, you can take it out and review the vows and promises you made on your wedding day. Very few wedding officiants perform this additional service.

We would be pleased at any time to hear of your plans and ambitions.
