CREATIVE KEYBOARD FOR YOUR WEDDING

THE RIGHT MUSIC FOR YOUR SPECIAL DAY

Welcome to Betty Lou's Music for Weddings Page.

This is the moment you've been planning for. You are looking beautiful and radiant! You and your bridal party are ready for the grand entrance. But what music do you want that will forever remind you of the Special Day when you and your beloved walked down the aisle?

Many brides still cherish Wagner's "Here Comes the Bride." Others choose Pachelbel's Canon as a break with tradition, while others want to share a favorite popular song or selection. The fact is: It's your Special Day and it's Your Choice.

MUSIC FOR YOUR WEDDING CEREMONY

GATHERING MUSIC: This is the music played prior to the ceremony while your guests are arriving and taking their seats. Music is normally contemporary, much like dinner music unless you specify certain selections.

THE PROCESSIONAL: The ceremony begins with the entrance of the Groom and the Minister. Normally the Groom's Men (sometimes called Ushers) lead the main procession. This paves the way for the Entrance of The Mothers, followed by The Bridesmaids, The Matron of Honor, The Ring Bearer, and then the Flower Girls. Everyone rises for the Entrance of the Bride which is announced by a noticeable increase in the music volume.

THE RECESSIONAL: With the Minister announcing the couple are husband and wife, the bride and groom walk slowly, arm-in-arm down the aisle, normally accompanied by a traditional, majestic Wedding March or whatever music selection you choose.

RECEPTION MUSIC: This music starts after the Recessional. At outdoor weddings, the couple may wish to stand and receive congratulations from relatives and friends attending. The music should be joyful and is played until all the guests have gone through the receiving line. The music, similar to the Gathering Music will be contemporary, unless you have specific favorites you would like played.
