Babysitting
Taking care of children requires maturity and responsibility. The Access to Justice Network says there is no clear law saying what age you must be before you can babysit. However, many parents hesitate to leave their kids with people so young they are also thought of as kids. The Canada Safety Council recommends a Babysitter Training Course for youth ages 12-17.
CBC4Kids has some guidelines for babysitting that you can learn from. There are many things to do to prepare yourself as a Babysitter.

Do you love children?
Ever think of starting your own babysitting business?
Well here are a few suggestions.
Make a list of key people that you know would love a babysitter.
Contact those people and tell them about your business plan.
Make sure that when you do babysit you have all emergency numbers possible including the child’s doctor.
Plan a curriculum that you will do with the child while he/she is under your care. Make sure the activity is age appropriate. For example: A thirteen year old may not want to play with a coloring book, but a five year old would. Try to find out the child’s interests; this may help you plan some activities. Mabey you’ll help them with their homework or play a few educational games.
Don’t forget to provide some snacks, but try to lay off of the junk food. Make sure you know any allergies that the child has. This is extremely important.

This book is a great read for all. The trials and tribulations that this family face can seem unbelievable at times, but through it all they stand strong and pull it through. This book tells the history of three generations but don’t be fooled, this is far from the boring historical memoirs that you may be used too. This memoir is filled with lots of emotion that you may be able to relate to. This book is sure to leave you speechless.
