Kristen	Jackson	14	Six months after his release from prison on a rape charge, Joel Yockey faces a death penalty case after his indictment on aggravated murder, rape and kidnapping charges in the slaying of 14-year-old Kristen Jackson. Yockey, released in March after serving 15 years in prison for the rape and kidnapping of a 17-year-old Wooster girl, had been living at the home of his parents for the past six months as a registered sex offender. Kristen's head was discovered in a wooded area on Sept. 14, and officers later that day discovered her limbs, according to court documents. Stefancin said Thursday that the torso still has not been found. She would not explain the circumstances in which Yockey was charged with rape without the presence of the torso as evidence, but she did say the crime was committed ``for purposes of sexual motivation.''


Cora Jean	Jones	12	David Spanbauer — the serial rapist who abducted and murdered two young girls and then killed a young Appleton woman during a botched burglary —died in prison at the age of 61. Spanbauer — called “pure evil” at his sentencing by Outagamie County Circuit Judge James Bayorgeon —never expressed remorse for his crimes. He was sentenced eight years ago to three life terms in prison without parole plus 403 years. A lifelong burglar and thief from Oshkosh, Spanbauer spent most of his adult life in prison. However, during his short periods of freedom, he wreaked havoc and in 1992 and 1994, he terrorized northeast Wisconsin. He murdered 10-year-old Ronelle Eichstedt of Ripon in 1992, and 12-year-old Cora Jones of Waupaca two years later. In each case, he grabbed the girls while they were riding bikes, molested them and dumped their bodies in remote areas. Breaking into an Appleton house he thought was unoccupied in July 1994, he found Trudi Jeschke, 21, in a bedroom. She was housesitting. He shot her to death.

Rhonda De-An	Keys	12	This is From Rhonda De-an's memorial website from her mother. God allowed an angel to live in my house for 12 years. I loved her so dearly. She was my angel. She was born August 4, 1963, and died February 4, 1976. She was kidnapped raped and murdered. Yes, he was caught and give death by lethal injection. But this didn't bring my baby back. Today, I miss her as much as if it had just happened. God allowed me to be unconscious 5 days before she was taken from my home. Her daddy was with another woman. I felt if he had been home taking care of his responsibility instead of his needs she wouldn't have died. But God punched her time card. It was time for her to go home.


Leslie	Mahaffy	14	Homolka and Paul Bernardo, now divorced, have become high- profile adversaries in an extended legal battle that comes down to a single question: Who actually murdered two teen-age girls the couple assaulted on videotape? Both are imprisoned for the killings of Leslie Mahaffy, 14, in 1991 and Kristen French, 15, in 1992. While Bernardo is serving a life sentence for murder, sexual assault and other charges, Homolka accepted a manslaughter conviction and 12-year term in exchange for her testimony. Bernardo insists Homolka was responsible for the killings and that he should get a new trial. Homolka's testimony during Bernardo's 1995 trial presented her as a helpless victim acting on Bernardo's orders, even during the drugging and raping of her younger sister Tammy, 15, who choked to death on her own vomit on Christmas Eve, 1990.

Megan	Kanka	7	A New Jersey jury found Jesse Timmendequas guilty Friday of sexual assault and murder for the 1994 slaying of 7-year-old Megan Kanka, whose death led to a nationwide movement to protect children from sexual predators. The jury ruled that Timmendequas, a twice-convicted sex offender, killed Megan "by his own conduct, purposely or knowingly"-- making him eligible for the death penalty. This slick pedophile also “helped” look for the victim after her parents noticed Her disappearance. Megan’s Law was named after this child.

Julie more..	Lejeune	8	The two eight year-old Belgian girls were abducted by a child-sex ring led by Marc Dutroux. They had been caged in a home-made basement prison and sexually abused for 9 months. They died in early March 1996 because of starvation when Dutroux was serving in prison for theft and violence. At that time, Dutroux was arrested and jailed for four months. By Dutroux's account, before reporting to prison for his short stretch, he paid drifter Lelievre $1,600 to make sure his two abducted eight-year-olds were kept fed. The steward supposedly provided food for only six weeks and then shirked the job. When Dutroux got out in March, he says, one of the little girls was already dead and the other so close behind that she practically gave up her young life in his arms. Their bodies were buried in Dutroux' backyard and later discovered by the police on August 17, 1996. When dug, their bodies were so well preserved by the clay surrounding them and when examined showed signs caused by sexual abuse. In other Deutroux' house, the police found two abducted girls alive, Laetitia Delhez, 14, and Sabine Dardenne, 12, both had been drugged and sexually abused. The police also found two bodies of abducted teenagers buried in Dutroux' property, An Marchal, 17, and Eefje Lambrecks, 19, friends who had disappeared while vacationing on the Belgian coast in August 1995. The death of Melissa and Julie has triggered anti child-sex movement across Europe. About 250,000 Belgians did a solidarity march called La Marche Blanche (The White March) on October 20, 1996. National anger at the scandal was compounded because police searched Dutroux's home twice last year without discovering the now-dead 8-year-olds. In the 1980s, Dutroux was imprisoned for sexually abusing five children, but he was released in 1992 after serving only about 3 years of his 13-year sentence after convincing social workers and psychiatrists that he was rehabilitated.
