Tasty Trish-Kebabs

"The young lady from Toronto brings us a tasty
treat that is easier to make than the Gone With
the Wind-length ingredient list would suggest.
Trish Stratus is a former big-time fitness model
who knows how to eat healthy, and these kebabs fit the
bill. Pay attention while cooking this one and
you'll get your hand raised at eatin' time. Like
Trish, this one is a keeper."

1/2 cup tomato catsup

1/4 cup water

1/4 cup finely chopped onion

1 tablespoon brown sugar

3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (from 1 lemon)

2 tablespoons cooking oil 2 teaspoons prepared mustard

2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce 1/2 teaspoon chili powder

1 pound beef tenderloin steak, cut into 1-inch pieces

1/2 pound fresh shrimp, shelled 2 zucchini, cut diagonally into

1-inch rounds 2 small Vidalia or white onions, peeled and cut into wedges

1/2 green pepper, cut into squares

1/2 red pepper, cut into squares

6 cherry tomatoes

1. Preheat the grill.
2. In a small saucepan, combine the catsup, water, onion, and brown sugar. Stir in the lemon juice, oil, mustard, Worcestshire sauce, and chili powder. Simmer, uncovered, over low heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

3. On six skewers, thread the steak, shrimp, zucchini, corn, onions, and green and red peppers. Brush with the sauce. Grill the kebabs over medium-hot coals, turning often and brushing with the sauce. Cook to the desired doneness (about 20 minutes for medium).

4. Garnish the ends of the skewers with tomatoes before serving.

Makes 6 servings.
