If I can do all of this with four kids and taking care of my disabled mother, surely there must be something you can do to pitch in.
I try to help every one I can, with anything I am able. I will be the first to admit, I am not perfect by any means, but I will try to help. Some may feel my help is less then perfect, and to me, thats a compliment :)
I am a firm believer that if we all just pitched in and helped each other, our neighborhoods would be a much better place.
That "well, they didn't ask..." crap doesnt wash with me. People whom use that phrase (you know the sort; those whom require to be asked for help) use that phrase as an excuse to justify NOT helping.
To those whom say "Thats not my problem..."; yeah, you tell that to God when you get there.
As far as I am concerned:You are a talker or a do-er
- I donate my time and skills with all area schools computer departments.
- I help single parents with computers or computer problems.
- I am given items that I don't need; so I give them other needy families. Yes, sometimes those families wreck their items (which I just don't understand...I just shake my head), but I at least know I tried to help.
- If there is any life left to the clothes we have and out grow, I pass those on to single parents or families I know can use them.
- I help neighbors with medical problems by mowing their lawn, cleaning, taking trash out or errands.
- I donate my time and effort to an international single parents group. I also help them with their website(s).
If you have skills of any sort, or even if you don't...help someone else, even if it's a small thing, it all helps.
Its also catching :) Yup, it inspires people to be kind to others.
Go back to my home page and see if there is anything else that may help.
