Welcome!

The MCVTS Academy Model United Nations Program (MCAMUN) takes pride that it is one of a kind in the Middlesex County Vocational District. This club has been forged to be used as a vehicle to teach the student population about the different cultures in the world. It was founded in September 2002 and is currently participating in Model UN Conferences.

On May 15, 2004, the MCAMUN Club is planning a High School MUN Conference. The conference is $10 per delegate and is going to be held at the Clarion Hotel and Towers in Edison, NJ. It will take place from 9 am to 5 pm. We are going to run this conference off of this site.

We will have three committees Disarmament and International Security, Social, Cultural, and Humanitarian, and Speacial Political and Decolonization. Their topics are The Non-Proliferation treaty, Human Rights Violations in Turkey, and the International Cooperation on Counter-Terrorism, respectively. The Committee Briefs and Delegate Handbook are located in the meetings section of this site (please see the side menu).

Registration can be done via email. Please email Peter Cassell at academyun@yahoo.com. You could also do it over the phone at 732-452-2600. Please have all delegates names and total number to Peter Cassell no later than April 24. You can pay your entry fee at the registration table on the day of the conference. Please remember that the entry fee is $10 US dollars.

We will require position papers and they will be due to me via email by May 7, 2004. We will be posting the committee briefs and the delegate handbook here on the website under the meetings section. This conference is for anyone regardless of experience.

My name is Peter Cassell and I am the Secretary General of MCAMUNC 2004. I extend an invitation to you to join MCAMUNC 2004.

Peter T. Cassell
Secretary General
MCAMUNC 2004
