At Grand Canyon (South Rim), we hiked the Bright Angel Trail. Our original plan was to reach Plateau Point, but we gave up at the 3 mile Resthouse and headed back. Though it is a 6-mile round trip, we completed it in 7 hours! We descended 2025 feet from the Bright Angel Trailhead and took 2 hours to get down to the Resthouse. By the time we arrived at the Resthouse, the sun was shining right on us. At the height of 4760 ft, we could hardly lift up our feet on our way back. The return trip consumed us 5 hours (we had to take a break every few minutes). Though the hike completely exhausted us, it was fun.
