Skid has been retired from competition with 47 OTCH points, 2 first placements, and 9 UDX legs. After her bout with Lyme disease, which was magnified by her advancing age, she could no longer handle the physical and mental pressure of intense competition. Retiring Skid with our goals unfinished was the most heartbreaking thing I have ever done, but it was in her best interest, and that's what's most important.
Skid earns her first "Herding Advanced" qualifying score (with a class placement!) under Judge and Border Collie exhibitor/trainer Lori Herbel. |

Skid's father, Celt, also recently
passed away at age 17, but for many years he was a top-winning dog on the northeast
herding trial circuit.
