It is the five most exciting months of the year that every football fan looks forward to. For the 12th consecutive season, the Gran Centurions football pool is here and will be the biggest ever. The 2006-07 season will be filled with a lot more talent than previous years. Last season 89 players stepped onto the field to do battle. This season there are going to be an estimated 100+ participants. The FAM will try to accomplish what no champion has done before and that is to repeat as champions the following year. Steve & Val, who had the high season total and got eliminated in their first playoff game look for revenge along with Frank Pentangeli who was runner-up and still feels like he was robbed in the Super Bowl! The Patanella bros are also looking to win big and keep their legacy in tact. They all have to go through The FAM, who are still riding high on their 6th seed with the 6th seed(Steelers) in 2006. The FAM have had many consecutive disappointing seasons but have finally got to the top and plan on staying at the top for the years to come!!!

In a very exciting and competitive atmosphere, players battle week after week all vying for one of the 12 playoff spots at the end of the regular season. Players will go through a grueling 17 week schedule of ranking teams based on their confidence levels of each team (see pool rules). When 17 weeks are in the books, the top 12 point finishers for the season will qualify for the playoffs. Once into the playoffs, those players, one by one, will be eliminated, until there is only one left. That player will be crowned Super Bowl champ and will be awarded the Super Bowl grand prize. The only problem is, these players fail to realize that everyone is gunning for them. The pressure is on. It is almost impossible for players to repeat the following year, and that is what makes it nail-biting fun! No one is given the easy treatment.
