Year 6

Harry opened his eyes again shortly after he fainted. He took out a quill and some ink.

"Let me guess. She was reincarnated but you don't know by who or what. She's in your room right now but has a different hair color and eye color. You're so funny, Hermione. It's not working."

He sent the owl back to Hermione. This wasn't real. She had just put a spell on him so he was able to dream it and sent him the owl so it seemed real. Maybe it wasn't even from Hermione. Maybe Malfoy felt like playing a dirty little trick on him.
Harry looked around his room. He was so bored and his room looked so plain since he hadn't really unpacked everything.
Harry stared at his suit case and slowly opened it. He took out the necklace Kayt had given to him when he was by the lake. He was mezmerised by the stone. He looked at the rest of the mermaid and smiled.
The chain felt like running water, slipping through his fingers. He didn't want Uncle Vernon, Aunt Petunia, or Dudley to find the necklace so he kept it in his suit case. He took out a picture he found of them. It was them the night they had met. He didn't know where the picture came from but the memory flooded his mind. He remembered her showing him the wand and Dobby attacking her in her own home with a letter opener. He remembered leaving the house with her for the train station. He remembered their first kiss. He remembered all off this and he tried to block it out.
He got up and plopped down on his bed. He lay sprawled out, staring up at the ceiling. He left his window open so the warm summer breeze could come in and so that Hedwig wouldn't make too much noise.
He looked over at the phone Uncle Vernon had given him. Some of the buttons were stuck from them being used with gooey fingers. (It was Dudley's phone.) He had cleaned it out as well as he could and the phone worked rather well. He had never used it, but if Hermione had sent another owl back, he would surely use it.
Harry shut his eyes as the memories were coming back. He remembered seeing Kayt die and the look on her face. Her last words still rung in his head like a recording.
The memories erased themselves quickly as Harry heard Hedwig plop onto his bed. His eyes opened quickly and he took the letter off her leg. He started to red it.

"Harry, How did you know? Call me. It will only be faster."

Harry threw the letter to the side, picked up his phone and dialed Hermione's number.
"Harry?" Hermione asked quickly as she answered the phone.
"Yeah. Stop lieing to me and stop playing tricks on me because it's not funny." Harry said bitterly.
"I'm not lieing to you, Harry. She's standing right next to me. Here, talk to her." Hermione said back bitterly, handing Kayt the phone.
"Harry?" Kayt asked in a little voice.
Harry stopped he didn't know what to say. "If this is Kayt then what happened the first time you showed me your house?"
"Dobby tried to kill me with a letter opener." She replied instantly.
"It is you."
"Haven't we been saying that for the past few minutes?" Kayt replied laughing and handing the phone back to Hermione
"Harry, tomorrow, I'm going to talk to my parents so I can get you to come here. Are you alright with taking the train half way by yourself?" Hermione asked him quickly.
"Yeah, that's fine." Harry said happier. "My aunt and Uncle won't have a problem with me leavng them."
"Good. Well we're going to try and get some sleep. Maybe talk for a while. Bye." Kayt took the phone from her hands.
"Night." She said smiling.
"Night." Harry said not sure if he should say 'Love you' since she was dead but now came back to life. They both hung up at the same time.
"We should write an owl to Dumbledore. He'll contact the Ministry." She said smiling as she got some parchment out and started writing a letter to Dumbledore. She sent her owl off with it and then sat down next to Kayt.
"So now, I'm the only one that's alive in my family?" Kayt asked her.
"Actually, while you were dead, they found another part of your family." Hermione said getting up and searching for the Daily Prophet.
"Really?" She asked a smile growing on her face. "Who?"
"Well, she's your only other cousin and she's a witch. She's coming to Hogwarts this year. Do you remember anyone by the name Austin?" Hermione asked taking out the paper and opening up to the article. There was also a picture of the the girl and her family.
The article was titled, "Family Survivors". It explained the whole story about how Kayt was related to Voldemort and why her family was killed.
"Which one is Austin?" Kayt asked looking at the picture.
Hermione pointed to the older girl in the picture. She had long brown hair that was wavy. Her eyes were of a deep brown and her skin was a little more tan then Kayt's. They didn't look like cousins but Kayt wasn't going to argue. She was happy enough to have relatives.
"She's related to you by marriage. Your mother got married twice. That's Adam." She said pointing to the ollder boy. "That's Allyson." she said pointing to the younger girl. "and that's you're Aunt Jean and Uncle Bill." She said pointing to the parents.
"And out of that whole family, Austin's the only one with powers?" Kayt asked.
"Yep." Hermione said as she started putting some stuff away. "We should tell my parents. Then you could stay here."
"Ok. Should I coem with you to tell them?" Kayt asked standing up.
"Yeah, come on. Lets do that now." Hermione said opening the door.
They ran downstairs and explained what happened. Hermione told them that she already sent a letter to Dumbledore.
Hermione's parents told them to stay in the house for the rest of the night, just in case Dumbledore was to arrive unexpectadly or send an owl that they needed to respond to immediatly.
"I have to find Austin before school. She needs to know I'm alive." Kayt said as Hermione and her sat in her room, catching up on Hogwarts summer homework.
"We will. Just not yet. First we need to get Harry and Ron. Then we can send her an owl telling her to meet us somewhere." Hermione said shutting her book and putting it back on a shelf.
