Harry and Kayt watched them as Ron kissed Hermione on the cheek. They both fell over eventhough they were already sitting down.
They laughed silently and Ron just rolled his eyes.
Suddenly, Fred and George were heard laughing in the other room twice as loud as Harry and Kayt.
Ron looked over at the door and saw it was open slightly. His head dropped and he knew that his brother's had seen it.
"Oh well. They were going to fin out anyway. They do go to the same school as us." said Ron smiling at Hermione.
Yeah, but they'll tell everybody." said Harry in between laughs again.
Hermione and Ron leaped up and ran to their room. Harry and Kayt just sat there on the floor and smiled at each other, starting to kiss again.
Hermione and Ron walked back into the room and tripped over Harry and Kayt.
"Ow!" said Kayt.
"Bloody hell, Ron!" Harry said, rubbing head.
"I tripped over Kayt, not you, Harry." laughed Ron.
"Yeah, I tripped over you." said Hermione with a smile.
"That teaches you to make out in my room." said Ron laughing even more.
"We weren't making out, Ron." said Kayt shaking her head.
"Sure you weren't, Kayt." said Hermione.
"You walked in on us and saw us. We weren't making out." Kayt argued.
"No, you guys were about to make out." said Hermione now laughing even more.
"Fine, whatever you want to think." said Kayt, forgetting about it now.
The day passed and the next thing they knew they were at the train station, entering the platform.
They all got onto the patform succesfully and took seats on the train after they said good bye Mr. and Mrs. Weasley and put their baggage into the baggage car.
The train left and they all were happy to go to Hogwarts.
They sat in the same car and were having a great time when they heard a loud knock at the door.
They all turned their heads and saw that it was Malfoy with his two 'friends' behins him. Malfoy had his evil smile on his face and looked at all four of them.
Harry laid his hand on Kayt's and winced at Malfoy.
Malfoy saw Harry do this and frowned. He walked in and sat on the other side of Kayt.
"Well, Kayt, I believe you are going to be sorted once we arrive at Hogwarts, amd I right?" asked Malfoy putting his arm around her.
Kayt removed his arm and replied abruptly with a short, "Yes."
Malfoy stood up and before he walked away he smiled at Kayt, and then left.
Kayt just watched him but went slightly red. Harry noticed this and automatically put his arm around her. She smiled and kissed him on the forehead.
"Don't worry about him. I'm just never really... liked by more than one guy. I blush for a lot of stupid things." Kayt said to him.
Harry relaxed and smiled at her.
Hermione and Ron had fallend asleep with their heads on each other's shoulders.
"They must have been doing something after we fell asleep." said Kayt, jokingly.
Harry laughed and said, "Yeah. Ron made the first move."
They laughed and talked the rest of the way their.
Hermione and Ron woke up just in time for the train to stop and let the 5th years off.
The four of them were lead to an old bridge. Each set of four students would be lead by one of the ghosts that lived in Hogwarts. But one set of four would be the lucky one's to have Peeves lead them across the rickety old bridge.
Peeves glided over to them and cackled as he eyed them.
Harry noticed that Peeves was coming towards them, and he grabbed Kayt's wrist and tried to get them away from there. They didn't have any luck since Peeves popped up in front of them and forced them onto the bridge.
"Harry, y were u tryin go get away?" Kayt whispered in Harry's ear.
Peeves pushed them farther onto the bridge and then shook it violently. Hermione and Kayt screamed as Peeves cackled.
"Nevermind!" screamed Kayt once the bridge stopped moving.
"Look! It's an ickle newbie!" squealed Peeves.
"First of all, she's just an exchange student. She's a fifth year." snapped Hermione.
Peeves turned and eyed Hermione and then started chanting some mindless tune about how geeky Hermione was. Hermione ignored it and all four of them kept walking across the bridge.
They were all about three quarters of the way through when Peeves shook the bridge again. When Hermione had landed back on her feet, the planks beneath her had made a long cracking sound. A few moments later, her foot fell through.
Kayt helped her up but her foot then fell through the plank next to it.
"Umm... some help please?" asked Hermione, holding onto the old ropes for dear life.
Ron and Harry rushed over to them and helped them out. Peeves just cackled as he went to get ther next batch of poor students.
Hermione, Kayt, Ron, and Harry ran the rest of the way to solid ground again.
"He's supposed to be helping us cross, not helping us die!" yelled Ron, catching his breath from both the run and his panic.
"Well, what do you expect with Peeves?" asked Harry, taking Kayts hand.
Kayt smiled and dropped her head on his shoulder in relief.
Of course, this was big news. Harry Potter had a girlfriend. All the girls that saw him just stopped and stared with their big eyes. Their mouths dropped slightly but they acted like they hadn't seen anything.
Kayt and Harry just ignored it and kept walking up to the school hand in hand. Hermione and Ron followed, also hand in hand, and were just laughin at all the looks they were getting.
They entered the great hall but Kayt was taken aside by Professor McGonagall so she could be sorted.
Dumbledore silenced all of the students and bellowed, "Welcome back to Hogwarts and Welcome all first years. As some of you may know, Oliver Wood has graduated and we need to assign a new Quidditch captain to the Gryffindor Quidditch Team. I will read the letter Oliver had recently written to me concering this issue."
'Dear Proffesor,
I am writing to you concerning Gryffindor's new Quidditch Captain. I'm not sure if this letter will matter but I thought it would be best just to write to you telling you that I think that Mr. Harry Potter would be the best Captain for the Gryffindor team. He showed great leadership and lots of talent.
Please consider him.
Sincerely,
Oliver Wood.'
Professor Dumbledore looked up from the letter and said, "Well, congratulations Mr. Harry Potter. U r now officially the Gryffindor Quidditch Captain."
Harry smiled as the Gryffindor table cheered. He lookes at the door where Professor McGonagall led Kayt and saw her clapping and smiling on the other side of the door.
Professor Dumbledore silenced the hall once again and said, "Next, I'd like to welcome a new student to Hogwarts. She has transfered from an American wizarding school called Gelona. We are going to sort her first and then we will have the sorting ceremony with the first years."
Professor McGonagal, brought Kayt into the room. Everyone watched her in silence, and as she walked up, she looked back at Harry with a nervous smile on her face.
Harry smiled back as the hat was placed on her head. Harry knew it was talkin to her just as it was talking to him because it was taking a long time.
The hall was silent as the Sorting Hat opened it's mouth and said....
