Harry Potter and the Mirror of Erised

Chapter 2

He was woken up the next morning by three loud knocks on his door. He opened his eyes, threw his glasses on, and unlocked his door. It was his uncle, holding his suit out in front of him.
"The guests are coming early. Get up and get ready!" exclaimed his uncle as Harry rubbed the sleep from his eyes.
Harry didn't say anything. He just closed his door and hung the suit up in his closet. Harry went back to sleep for a few hours. He woke up at about 10:00 a.m. He tok a shower and put the suit on. It was the first new article of clothing that the Dursely's had given him. He looked at himself in the mirror and smiled. When he saw how messy his hair was and he frowned.
He ran into the bathroom and tried to manage it. He had no luck and just eventually gave up.
By the time he was done, it was about 11:00 a.m. He heard his uncle call him from downstairs and Harry said he'd be right there. Harry looked around his room for Dobby, or any other magical creature, and out the window for Hedwig. He didn't see anything so he closed his door and went downstairs.
"Dudely, you will greet them as they come in the door. Petunia, you will be welcoming them into the living room to sit down. And Harry, you will be putting there coats up in a seperate room, and-" Uncle Vernon said, but was cut off by Harry.
"And I will sit quietly, as far away from the guests as possible. I will not speak unless I am spoken to and there is no such thing as magic." said Harry with a huge grin on his face.
His uncle held his anger back and just smiled.
"Yes, Harry. Good. Now please everyone. We don't need any funny business!" said his Uncles with a slight chuckle at the end but just stared down Harry.
The door bell rang and Uncle Vernon told everyone to take their places. Uncle Vernon opened the door to a family of five.
"Welcome!" Uncle Vernon boomed as the family walked in.
Dudley smiled and shook the hands of every family member.
All five of them had medium brown to light brown hiar excpet for one. A girl that looked about Harry's age, and was obviously the oldest in the family, had pitch black hair. Her skin was very pale next to her black hair and her lips were a natural deep red. Her eyes were brown, but as she walked in they looked to be a light green. Her hair was very long and almost reached her waist. It was healthy and shiny.
The woman, that was obviously the mother, had a mdeium brown hair. She was pale skinned but it had some color in it. Her lips were a light pink and her eyes were a light shade of brown.
The man that walked in looked younger than the mother, but older then the girl with dark hair. He looked like the father but Harry wasn't sure.
The middle child had medium brown hair and light brown eyes. Her hair was shoulder length and her lips were a light pink. She looked to be around 10 or 11.
The youngest was a little boy. His hair was a light brown but in the light it shined to a dirty blonde. His eyes were a deep brown and he looked to be about 6 or 7.
Dudley smiled at the man, the woman, the 2 younger children, but his smile grew as the oldest child walked through the door.
Harry roled his eyes when no one was looking and took their cotes. He ran upstairs and put them into the main bedroom and then ran back downstairs. He sat down across from the family with a smile on his face.
"Welcome to our home. I am Vernon Dursley, this is my wife and son Petunia Dursely, and Dudley Dursley." said Uncle Vernon.
Harry didn't say anything but his uncle looked at Harry and said, "Oh, yes, and this is my nephew, Harry."
Harry smiled and didn't say his last name. Just him being there was good enough. He smiled and didn't say a word.
"Thank you for inviting us to your wonderful home. This is my boyfriend, Matt. This is my oldest daughter, Kaitlin. This is my youngest daughter, Jessica. And this is my youngest son, Nicholas or Cole. I am Eileen.
Everything was going fine. Harry was there. His uncle hadn't threatened to starve him and nothing that had to do with hogwarts or witchcraft and wizardry happened what so ever.
Harry had found himself becoming quite fond of Kaitlin and wanted to sit next to her or even talk to her with the greatest desire. He couldn't stand how Dudley kept tryin to take her hand and obviously she didn't want to touch him because she kept pulling away.
Harry looked up when he heard his name being said. Kaitlin was talking to him.
"So, Harry. How old are you?" she asked.
She didn't have an accent. Harry had noticed before that they were from America.
"Well, I'm 14 going to be 15. How about you?" Harry said with a warm smile on hs face.
"I'm also 14 going to be 15." she said back exchanging the same wamr smile with Harry.
Dudley looked enraged that Harry was talking to this girl. Harry and Kaitlin had said more in the first three minutes of talking then Dudley and Kaitlin had in fifteen minutes.
Kaitlin got up and sat next to Harry. Uncle Vernon looked at Harry with an outraged look, but he hid it.
"Can I call you Kayt? I know how some people hate being called byt their full name." said Harry, ignoring his uncle.
"Thank you", Kayt said, laughin slightly, "I hate it when people call me Kaitlin."
Harry laughed slightly and said, "Yeah, if there was a nickname that existed for Harry, I'd probably like it a lot better."
Dudley looked at Harry with an evil stare. Jessica got up and sat next to Dudley.
"Hi. I'm Jessica. You're Dudley, right?"
"Yes. I have a question for you. Does your sister usually ignore the person she likes or talk to them?" asked Dudley, looking at Kayt.
"Umm.... I'm pretty sure she talks to them. She doesn't like u." said Jessica hoping to get his attention.
Dudley ignored Jessica and she eventually got up and left. She sat back down and suddenly, there was a loud crash heard on the window. Every guesst turned to look at what it was. When Harry saw the all too farmiliar owl named Eryll, he panicked.
"Now y is there an owl out in the afternoon? Harry, y don't u go see if the poor thing's alright?" asked Harry's uncle, gritting his teeth.
"I'll go with him." said Kayt, getting up with Harry.
"Oh no dear. Stay here." said Petunia.
"I'd like to go outside for a moment, anyway." said Kayt now walking behind Harry.
Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon eyed Kayt as she walked.
Harry ran over to the owl and grabbed the letter off it's foot before Kayt could see. He thought she didn't see but he knew by the way she looked at him when she bent down beside him.
"It's not what you think." said Harry, very quickly.
"Don't worry about it. Right now going through my head is you're either a real weirdo or you don't go to a normal school." said Kayt with a smile on her face.
Harry looked at her with an astonished look. Well, if you mean a private school then-"
"No. I mean a very different school. That uses owls for sending mail and use a wooden stick like this one." said Kayt, taking a wand that looked like Harry's out of her pocket.
