Harry Potter and the Mirror of Erised

Kayt turned her head to Harry and nodded.
"It was him. He wanted the necklace. Professor, what's so great about the necklace?" Kayt asked.
"Well, you see, it was ur mothers." said Dumbledore, going over t the window.
McGonagal walked in and said, "I have it." She handed it to Kayt and she realized what they were talkin about.
"What do you mean? My mother is a muggle." said Kayt holding the necklace up and puttin it back on.
"No, she wasn't." said McGonagal, dropping her head.
"What do you mean wasn't?"asked Harry.
"She was murdered right after you were born." said Dumbledore.
"And my dad? I did have one right?" asked Kayt.
"Yes, but no one knew who he was. He just kind of dissapeared after he found out ur mother was pregnant with u." Professor Dumbledore said as he turned to her.
"Who murdered her?" asked Harry even more curious then before.
"The same man who murdered ur parents, Harry." Professor Dumbledore said clearly.
"Why did he kill my mother?" asked Kayt in a shaky voice.
"Because of a promise." said McGonagal in a quiet.
"U were different and Voldemort knew that before u were even born. He met ur mother one day and told her about u. About how u were different and how it might affect ur future. He told her he would help u if he could own u as a servant once u were old enough to walk and talk. She agreed but right after u were born. You know thhat scar on ur ankle? That's from him. After that happened, u were left in the Hospital and u were adopted only shortly after that." Dumbledore told her.
McGonagal took out a picture and gave it to Kayt. It was a picutre of a young girl with a reddish brownish hair and green eyes. She was beautiful and looked like she had just gotten out of school. You can tell she was obviously was pregnant by lookin at her stomach.
"She looks like she just came out of school." Harry said looing up from the picture.
"She just graduated from Hogwarts that day. The day after she went into the Hospital. She had u the following week." Professor Dumbledore said.
"What about my mother's parents? Why didn't I stay with them?" Kayt asked, her eyes now wet.
"They were killed right before ur mother was killed." McGonagal said in a little voice.
"But what does the necklace have to do with it?" asked Harry.
"The necklace holds secrets within. In ways it is stronger then the Srocerrers Stone. It has the power to protect and hurt at the same time." Dumbledore said, cocking his head up high.
"But what does the mermaid have to do with it?" asked Kayt.
"Your mother was great with water and she made friends with lots of mermaids. Not like the ones in the lakes here. Like the exoctic ones. The kind u see in the Fairy Tales. Well, one day, she was swimming with them and she saw something on her leg. She looked and saw it was a scale. The next thing she knew she was a mermaid."
Kayt's mouth dropped. "But wasn't she muggleborn?" asked Kayt even more confused now.
"Well, that's what we all thought. Not many people knew about this so you can't go around really saying this stuff. The ministry told me not to tell you until you were leaving Hogwarts but with what's going on, it's quite impossible not to explain why you're a target." Dumbledore finished with a smirk on his face.
Everything was silent until McGonagal turned around and noticed that Harry was still there. "Mr. Potter, I think you should go get ready for classes. They have not been cancelled yet." McGonagal said walking out.
"I'll be back later." Harry said getting up and walking out behind McGonagal.
Kayt waved goodbye and Dumbledore left after a little while later.
Hours passed and Kayt was let out right in time for lunch. She walked into the Great Hall and everyone stared as she walked in. It was obvious that everyone knew what had happened.
Hermione looked over and waved. Ron walked over from another entrance with Harry.
Kayt ran over to them and sat down next to Harry.
"I was at the Hospital Wing looking for you and Madam Pomfrey told me you had come here. She wants you to go back after lunch, though." Harry said.
"ok, thanx. So what has everyone been saying?" asked Kayt looking at Hermione and Ron.
"Well everybody just kept coming up to me and everyone was suddenly my friend if i told them what happened." laughed Hermione.
Right after she said that, two of the most popular guys from Ravenclaw came over and made room to sit down next to her on both sides. Ron stared at them evilly and was obviously jealous. They put their arms around Hermione.
"Hey. I'm Keanu from Ravenclaw." said the one on the right with a charming smile.
"And I'm Dan." said the one on the right with the same exact smile.
"Hello." Hermione said, removing their arms from her shoulders.
"So who was found in the passageway?" asked Keanu.
Hermione looked up at Kayt and Kayt started laughing.
"It was her." Hermione said pointing to Kayt.
The two boys from Ravenclaw looked up and stood up. They walked back to their tables in silence.
They all started laughin except for Ron.
"O, Ron, get over it. She didn't like them." said Harry.
"Yeah. Plus, you're my guy." said Hermione puttin her arm around him.
He smiled and mellowed out.
The day passed and Kayt was back in classes right after lunch.
The next week had gone well. Everyone was fine until McGonagal reminded Harry of the Quidditch teams and practice was starting soon.
Harry panicked and started gathering people to try out for the new Keeper.
