LIFEL1A is a demonstration of using a spreadsheet to experiment
with cellular automata. LOTUS 123 release 1A is all that is necessary
to have a convenient user shell for experimenting with LIFE.


1) Load LOTUS 123
   123
2) Load LIFEL1A.WKS
   /frlifel1a
3) Set your initial starting pattern by putting 1's where desired in the leftmost box
4) Hit alt-r to reset to generation 0 and your starting pattern.
5) Hit F9  ( {calc} ) for each subsequent generation.
 
Making larger worlds is an exercise that is left to the user.
The world is toroidal.  
The sides wrap to each other; corners wrap diagonally.
