Welcome to the home page of the 1st New Jersey Light Artillery - Battery D.

- We are a small group based in Southern New Jersey who welcome the participation of the whole family in our events.
- -
- Currently our battery consists of :
- an original 1864, 12 pound Napolean (pictured above)
- three Coehorn mortars,
- two Gatling guns,
- a Billinghurst-Requa Volley Gun,
- an Ager 'coffee mill' gun, and
- a Williams breach loading gun.
- -
- We are planning to field a full size cannon in 2005/2006.
- -
- We are members of the Artillery Reserve Association, the National Civil War Artillery Association (NCWAA), and the United States Volunteers (USV).

- When needed, we 'galvanize' as the Powhatan Artillery - Dance's Battery.
- -
- We are also able to participate in an infantry impression as the 12th New Jersey Volunteer Infantry - Company H.
- -
- We also represent the 7th Pennsylvania Cavalry - Company D., and the 1st Virginia Cavalry - Company D
