The Allendale News

THE CARNIVAL The Guardian Angel/Lion's Club Carnival has just ended! It was a blast for the children, and the rides were supposedly phenomenal. The carnival raised the most money on the wristband nights, and made a ton of money off of the challenging games. THE EAGLES FLY BACK INTO TOWN Evan Unger and Ted Hannes, from Troop 59 just became Eagle Scouts! It was a great honor to see them get the awards, and many people from all over were there. They both received many letters from important people, such as the President and the First Lady, the Vice President, the Commissioner of Baseballl, and many more. They were very happy that they got this far in the Boy Scouts, and hope to stay with the program. THE REC PLAYOFFS The rec baseball playoffs just started for the 7th and 8th graders. Every team made it, and they are all very excited. The three Allendale teams have been playing strong, and hope to continue to the championships. After a rainy weekend, it finally became sunny, and the opening day started. It will be a tough, but fun race to the finals. UGGHHH... FINALS! In Brookside school, the 6th, 7th, and 8th graders started the finals. Although almost all of the tests are multiple choice, they all contain all the information from the whole year, and all the students are studying very hard to keep up with the rest of the group, and are trying to get a good grade. THROWBACK UNIFORMS COME TO ALLENDALE The new Allendale travel baseball uniforms are very nice, and are all white. The only thing, is that the socks are THROWBACK SOCKS. They look like the old White Sox uniforms, and the whole team is very excited to wear them.
