RIDGEFIELD PARK SUNDAY NITE MIXED RULES – 2003 – 2004
- We
will bowl 33 weeks starting 9/7/03 and ending 4/25/2004. There is no
bowling April 11,2004 Easter Sunday
- The
cost of bowling will be $21.00 per bowler per night.
- An 85%
handicap will be used at all times.
- There
will be seven (7) position nights.
- We
must pay an extra $6.00 per night for 7 weeks until the security is paid
in full. This is strictly security and cannot be used for arrears
therefore allowing you to bowl the last 2 nights free. All monies must be
paid by 11/3/2003. No exceptions or you are considered in the arrears and
the scores will not count.
- Individual
members shall not be more than 2 weeks in arrears, or they will not be
permitted to bowl until fees are paid and the scores will not count. The
team must use the bowler’s blind score. Formal charges can be made for a
suspension if the money isn’t paid. Monies may be paid by check, but if it
bounces, the individual will be responsible for any and all fees the
league incurs, and no more checks will ever be accepted. No checks the
last month.
- If any
emergency occurs where your absence would cause you to become more than 2
weeks behind, your team captain must be notified and arrangements must be
made to pay your fees. If the bowler does not let the captain or a league
officer know the reason, the captain has the right to replace said bowler.
If no action is taken then the league officers will do it.
- League
will assume bowling fees if an individual drops out and the team cannot
replace the bowler within two weeks, and the league officers have been
formally notified in writing. It will then be up to the entire league to
try and find a replacement.
- Envelopes
must be given to the treasure by the end of the 1st game.
Captains responsibility and must be initialed. No enveloped will be
accepted without being initialed.
- Late
bowlers may makeup provided the 3rd frame has not been
completed by the opposing team. (rule 106 d) Otherwise the team will use
10 less than average, with no change in handicaps. At least 2 bowlers must
be present at the end of the 1st frame of any given game to
constitute a legal lineup (rule #109a). One must be a regular member and
the other can be a sub or the team forfeits.
- Floating
subs are allowed. Men can bowl for women and visa a versa but a team max
avg 675 and not consist of 4 members of the same sex while actually
bowling. Subs are allowed on position nights. Subs must have 21 ganes or
more bowled the last 2 weeks of bowling.
- Last
years averages will be used to compute handicap for the first 9 games. If
no avg in the league, your highest ABC/WIBC book average will be used
going back 2 years.
- New
Bowlers with no average will establish one on the first night. Then use
that average for the next 6 games and then change from week to week
thereafter. Subs will establish an average in none is available after 3
games.
- Lane
courtesy: You only have to wait for the bowler on your immediate right
before your bowl. When your name appears up on the telescore you must bowl
and do not wait for your team to finish before you bowl. No exceptions.
Also please do not smoke in the scoring area.
- AWARDS:
High series and high game A bowler may take only one league award,
Association, State and National awards are excluded as they must go to the
winning bowler provided they have bowled the required number or games, 2/3
of the league schedule (66 games)
- Points
system will be used to decide team standings and championship. 2 points
for each game and 1 point for total wood equaling 7 points total. Run off for
tie is between first and second place only. This will be done with bowling
3 games same as league play.
- If
there is a tie with teams on any given position night the total wood will
decide who is 1st ect.
- If the
first place and the last place teams have clinched their positions on
either of the last two position nights they will bowl each other.
- A
vacancy score for a man or a woman is 135.
- Super
bowl Sunday will bowl early
- Pre
bowling if 3 people cannot be present a postponement maybe asked for.
Asking opposing teams first and then asking of they wish to bowl with you.
