Awards for Achievement in

 Figure Skating

The New Jersey Council of Figure Skating Clubs is an interclub member of US Figure Skating composed of clubs based in New Jersey.

The Council was formed to improve, encourage, and advance  figure skating in New Jersey.

Through the cooperative efforts of its member clubs, the Council presents an annual competition. Trophies are awarded in certain events as detailed in the competition announcement.

The prestigious Kern Trophy is awarded during the competition. Each year the Council is also proud to support deserving skaters through the Grace Moore Competitors Assistance Scholarship Awards.

Grace Moore Competitors Assistance Scholarship Awards

The competitors assistance scholarship awards honor the memory of Grace Moore, a national figure skating judge and active member of the New Jersey skating community.

The requirements for consideration for a skater assistance award are that the skater maintains a New Jersey US Figure Skating club as their HOME CLUB, and that the skater must also have competed in US Figure Skating qualifying competitions for at least two years for a Senior Scholarship (Novice through Senior) and at least one year for a Junior Scholarship (Juvenile through Intermediate). Awards encompass the figure skating disciplines of freestyle, pairs and dance.  It does not consider synchronized skating experience. Awards are based on skating achievement in the above named disciplines in relation to age, progress, and attitude.
