Habitat:    Lives around the base of homes in NE USA Will burrow into the soil around the house and is able to dig to depths of 6 ft. Nocturnal.

Structural Adaptations: The powerful legs allow this organism to dig to great depths. Wings may also b used as shields against prey. The tongue is coated with a sticky substance that aids in food gathering.
