DIMMU BORGIR
from: www.dimmu-borgir.com
"With this statement we want to announce that Astennu has been fired and will no longer be a part of Dimmu Borgir.
Basically we decided to release Astennu from all duties because it became apparent over the past 7-8 months that
he was in the band for all the wrong reasons and had lost all of his passion and dedication, enthusiasm and
100% commitment to Dimmu Borgir and what we stand for. For all of us in the band, Dimmu is our life, it`s a
way of life and not some fucking boring day job!!! So we came to a unanimous decision about the whole
affair and we are proud to announce Astennu`s replacement, Archon on guitar who will appear on the
forthcoming as yet untitled new album due to be recorded September 2000. Silenoz says:-
"We kept the whole affair with Astennu confidential for a while untill we found a suitable
replacement. Dedication and 100% commitment was what we were looking for in a
musician and these are qualities we noticed immediately in Archon as well as being a
killer guitarist and an individual." -"The first two weeks with Archon proved to be very productive
and successful and he's allready contributed to three of the new songs. There's a very positive atmosphere
within the band and we're looking forward to record the new material and next year's
world tour in support of the album!"

ANCIENT
from: www.metalblade.com
ANCIENT  "God Loves The Dead" is the title of the upcoming mini album with Ancient. The title track has
previously been released on the LP version of "The Halls Of Eternity" but not elsewhere. The mini album will also include l
ive recordings, remixes, a new version on "Trolltaar" as well as a cover song. The disc will also include 2 videos for
PC of the songs "God Loves The Dead" and "Um Sonho Psycodelico", both previously unreleased.
A video for "I, Madman" will also be done during the summer.
Aphazel and Deadly Kristin are almost ready with the recordings of their
side- project Dreamlike Horror. This is a kind of gothic/ ambient/ horror project with some black metal p
arts. There has not been signed any record- contract yet, but we will soon get some more news on this.
A release of this should be out sometime after the summer.
At last we can announce a new stable drummer in the band, GroM. Ancient recently parted ways
with Krigse due to personal and musical differences.
We feel that the current line-up is the best Ancient have had so far, with great musicians...there is a great unity,
devotion, professionality, friendship and harmony between the current members and that all reflects in a great
team-work and excellent results. All this will reflect greatly on the new material, recordings and live performances
to come. Therefore we wish to wait no longer to make it as official and known as possible. This looks to be the
most stable of the Ancient line-ups and should remain such for a long long time.

IMMOLATION
from: www.metalblade.com
IMMOLATION going to the studio: message from Bob of IMMOLATION: "We'll be recording at Millbrook
Sound Studios again. (Millbrook , NY) The album title is actually something that our fans should be well familiar
with if they have the last album... We will be in the studio during the month of June. We are still writing the last bits
now, but I'm sure it will be 8 songs long. There are no line up changes, John McEntee from Incantation was
helping us out playing guitar for our tours, but Tom is still a member of the band. So the line up is the same. The new s
ongs are very dark and heavy with a lot of wicked twists. Allot of powerful material, allot of emotion and feeling,
heavy as hell, various speeds and tempos, ... without a doubt our most violent and intense album yet!

Eyehategod have just completed the final mixes to their latest album at New Orleans' Balance Studios. This is their
first new studio recording since 1996's Dopesick. Ironically, for all you trivia buffs, the mixing board at the studio
is the same one used on the Kansas classic "Carry On (Wayward Sons)". The new disc, entitled Confederacy
Of Ruined Lives, will be released in October. The band has also assembled a collection of live performances,
dubbed 10 Years Of Abuse And Still Broke, to be released next year. Expect Eyehategod to be back on the

OLD MAN'S CHILD
from: www.centurymedia.com
Revelation 666: The Curse Of Damnation, the fourth album from Old Man's Child, is this Norwegian combo's

before the end of the year.

ROTTING CHRIST
from: www.centurymedia.com
Rotting Christ's new effort will definitely surprise listeners because on Khronos they have assuredly gone back to

Angels and A Dead Poem. Some titles from their forthcoming disc (due out August 29th) include "Thou Art Blind",
"If It Ends Tomorrow", "My Sacred Path", "Art Of Sin", "Law Of The Serpent", "You Are I", "Time Stands Still",
"Glory Of Sadness", a cover of "Lucifer Over London" and more.
