Mystery Clues
Mystery clues will be provided by your fellow project participants.  Teachers will have access to all clues once the project starts and they have registered and received the necessary password.  The password system is being used to prevent students from accessing the answers to the Great State Mystery before the appropriate time.  We are leaving it up to the teachers' discretion how and in what manner the clues are used in individual classrooms.  In some cases, it may be possible for the students to solve the mystery using only the first two rounds of clues.  Therefore, the teacher may wish to withhold some clues in order to make the mystery more challenging.  For example if the state your students are looking for is Alaska, revealing the time zone in Clue Round #1 would give away the answer.  It is up to you as the teacher to recognize this, and deal with it accordingly.
All participating classrooms must submit all clue information.  This statement is in a different color for a reason.  The other project participants are awaiting your clues.  Since some classes may use this as a science exercise or as a geography exercise, it is important that ALL information be submitted to the project website.  Please realize, the task of collecting the information for the clue questionnaire can be done either by the students or the teacher.  Use the link below to view the questions that will be asked in the clue questionnaire.
