Card Captor Sakura is about a 10 year old 4th grader named Sakura Kinomoto. Sakura's father, Fujitaka, is an archeologist. When Sakura wanders into his library, she finds a dusty book, full of cards. Then, she reads the top card. "Windy." All of a sudden, all the cards blow out and a yellow, bear-like, creature comes out of the book! He introduces himself as Keroberos, the guardian of the book. Sakura wonders what a stuffed animal is talking to her for. Kero-chan says that since she has opened the Clow Book, she must get all the cards back. That is how Sakura Kinomoto became the Card Captor.
As the adventure goes along, a boy named Syaoran Li comes as a transfer student. Sakura gets freaked out because he keeps glaring at her. (Little does she know he's her soul mate! Sorry, S+S fan.) Syaoran taps her on the shoulder, asking to speak to her for a minute. Then, he demands the cards!
Sakura discovers Syaoran is the direct decendant of Clow Reed, the creator of the Clow Cards. Slowly, they begin working together to capture the cards.
Syaoran develops a crush on Yukito, who is also Sakura's crush! Yukito is a nice guy. His best friend is Sakura's older brother, Touya. But then, Syaoran's crush fades and is directed into a stronger feeling towards Sakura...
