This is Medusa, located at Six Flags Great Adventure. Built in 1999, it is the first floorless roller coaster in the world. Medusa has a first drop of 146 feet and goes 61 miles per hour. It has one of the world's largest inversions, a 114-foot loop, and has 7 inversions in all. The near three minutes on Medusa combine all the elements needed to make a steel roller coaster great. But the part that really makes this an incredible, well-rounded ride is that it's smooth as silk. (Picture courtesy of http://members.aol.com/RIDEMAGNJ/medusa99index.html)
